Biography
Dr. Li received his MD & MPH from Shandong Medical University & Shandong Academy of Medical Sciences, and PhD from Johns Hopkins University. He completed postdoctoral fellowships at Johns Hopkins University and University of California at Berkeley/Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory.
He joined 香蕉视频 College of Osteopathic Medicine in June 2024 following his 18 years of tenure as professor and chair of pharmacology at VCOM/Virginia Tech CRC (2006 to 2012) and Campbell University SOM (2013 to 2024).
Dr. Li has published 149 journal articles in the field of biomedicine, and written several books, including 鈥淐ardiovascular Diseases: From Molecular Pharmacology to Evidence-Based Therapeutics (Wiley)鈥, 鈥淔ree Radical Biomedicine: Principles, Clinical Correlations, and Methodologies (Bentham)鈥, and 鈥淏iomedical Research: Strategic Planning for Success (Nova)鈥. The research in his laboratory has been funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) (NCI, NHLBI, NIDDK, & NIGMS; R01s, R21, R15s). Li had served on several NIH grants (R01/R21) review panels and as an ad-hoc reviewer for grants from multiple entities, including Johns Hopkins University Center for Environmental Health Sciences and the National Science Foundation (NSF).
In addition to his research career, Dr. Li has over two decades of teaching experience in biomedical sciences.
